ABC Settles With Trump for $15 Million
ABC News and anchorman George Stephanopoulos have reached a settlement with President-elect Donald Trump in his defamation suit, with the network paying Trump $15 million.
ABC News will make the payment as a charitable contribution to a “Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for Plaintiff, as Presidents of the United States of America have established in the past.” ABC will also pay $1 million in Trump’s attorney fees.
Trump filed the suit against Stephanopoulos after a March 10 interview with South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace in which Stephanopoulos asserted that Trump was found “liable for rape” in a civil case.
Trump spent Saturday afternoon at the Army-Navy football game, joined by Vice President-elect JD Vance, Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and other high-profile supporters.

U.S. Citizen Freed From Syrian Prison
American citizen Travis Timmerman was freed from a Syrian prison on Friday and taken out of the country by the U.S. military amid the downfall of President Bashar al-Assad’s dictatorship.
He was transported to the Al Tanf U.S. military base and then flown out of Syria by helicopter and handed over to the U.S. State Department.
Timmerman went to Syria for a religious pilgrimage but disappeared into Syria’s prison system about seven months ago.
Meanwhile, U.S. officials continue to search for Austin Tice, an American journalist who disappeared 12 years ago near Damascus. A member of U.S.-based Hostage Aid Worldwide said he had visited detention centers and the houses of prominent figures in Assad’s circle, but the search had so far not produced results.
Some U.S. officials fear that Tice could have been killed during a recent round of Israeli airstrikes.

Ice, Snow Causing Dangerous Conditions
Close to 40 inches of snow fell across parts of western New York and Michigan on Friday and Saturday.
Freezing rain created dangerous travel conditions in the Midwest and Plains on Saturday morning with hours-long closures of major interstates and dozens of crashes. Temperatures fell to the single digits in the Midwest, and wind chills were in the teens from Philadelphia to Boston.
Winter storm warnings were in place for California’s Sierra Nevada mountains on Saturday, where 6 to 24 inches of snow were possible.
