➤ The House voted 222 to 209 Wednesday night to approve a funding package reopening the government through January, sending the bill to President Trump’s desk for his signature to end the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. (See Details)

Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.) was sworn into office once the House went back into session and immediately became the 218th and final signature on a discharge petition meant to force the release of all unclassified files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. ➤ Meanwhile, the White House accused Democrats of “selectively” releasing emails on Monday from Epstein that reference President Trump, saying the documents were redacted to hide the identity of Virginia Giuffre, the deceased Epstein accuser, who repeatedly defended Trump. (More)

Jack Schlossberg, the 32-year-old grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, announced late Tuesday that he would run for Congress in 2026, seeking to fill the seat held by Rep. Jerry Nadler, who is retiring. (More)
