Trump Backs Vote on Epstein Files

President Trump urged House Republicans in a Truth Social post to vote for the full release of records related to Jeffrey Epstein, reversing earlier warnings that the issue was a political trap. He said the GOP has “nothing to hide” and indicated he would sign the bill if it clears both chambers.

Attorney General Pam Bondi directed the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, a major federal prosecutor based in Manhattan, to investigate Epstein’s ties to prominent Democrats after Trump requested the move last week.

The House is expected to vote as early as today on the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bipartisan bill that would require the Justice Department to release all unclassified records related to investigations into Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Seniors Face 10% Medicare Part B Hike

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that the standard Medicare Part B premium is set to increase in 2026, rising by nearly 10 percent (or $17.90) to $202.90 per month.

This cost-of-living increase is largely due to projected price changes and increased utilization across the system. Seniors and disabled enrollees will also face a higher annual deductible of $283 for Part B, which covers services like doctor visits and outpatient care.

Record Thanksgiving Travel Expected

A record 81.8 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles from home for the Thanksgiving holiday period, which spans from Nov. 25 to Dec. 1.

This new record is a 1.6 million increase from last year, according to a forecast by AAA. The vast majority—nearly 90% of travelers, or about 73 million people—are expected to drive to their destinations. Gasoline prices are similar to last year, and domestic car rentals are projected to be 15% cheaper.

Despite recent air travel disruptions caused by the resolution of a government shutdown, AAA projects that about 6.1 million Americans will fly, representing a 2% increase from the prior year. See a year-by-year breakdown here.

The Federal Aviation Administration lifted all commercial flight restrictions shortly before the holiday period, allowing airlines to resume regular schedules. Still, some air travelers may opt for driving due to recent uncertainty at airports.
