Minnesota ICE Surge Ending
Border czar Tom Homan announced Thursday that the federal immigration crackdown in Minneapolis was winding down, saying he proposed the drawdown of most of the 2,000 remaining ICE officers, and President Trump concurred.
The operation, which began late last year with more than 3,000 federal agents surging into the city, yielded over 4,000 arrests, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Homan said the decision followed an ongoing drop in confrontations with protesters and the volume of arrests already made. “I don’t want to see any more bloodshed,” he said.

Olympics Disqualify Ukrainian over Helmet
Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych was disqualified from the Winter Olympics on Thursday, just 45 minutes before his race, after refusing to remove a helmet honoring more than 20 athletes and coaches killed in his country’s war with Russia.
The International Olympic Committee ruled the “helmet of remembrance” violated its ban on political statements during competition and offered compromises, including a black armband, but the medal contender refused.
He argued the rule was applied inconsistently, saying other athletes displayed personal tributes at these Games without penalty. Some things “are more important than medals,” he told reporters.
President Zelenskyy said the Olympic movement “should help stop wars, not play into the hands of aggressors.” Ukrainian service members have since launched a social media campaign in support of the racer.

FTC Warns Apple Over News Bias
Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson sent a letter Wednesday to Apple CEO Tim Cook, warning that the company’s popular News app may be violating consumer protection laws by systematically suppressing conservative news outlets.
The letter followed a study by the Media Research Center, which analyzed 620 stories featured on Apple News in January and found that none came from right-leaning outlets.
Of the total, 440 were from left-leaning sources and 180 from centrist ones, with zero articles from the New York Post or Fox News. President Trump shared the findings on Truth Social.
Ferguson urged Cook to conduct a “comprehensive review” and take corrective action if the app’s curation does not match its terms of service, though he acknowledged the FTC cannot require Apple to promote any particular viewpoint.
Apple said its app “provides access to news spanning a wide range of topics from more than 3,000 publications” and that users can tailor the feed to their interests.
