Lots of local joints got a shout-out, though there was also a fair amount of disdain for the hype surrounding In-N-Out burgers. You can see how our readers voted in the poll results below.

Trump Tariffs in Legal Limbo
A federal appeals court lifted one of two rulings blocking President Trump’s tariffs on Thursday, just hours after a lower court had rejected the administration’s legal defense.
Many of Trump’s tariffs remain blocked under a second, separate ruling from a federal judge, though that judge gave the White House two weeks to appeal before it goes into effect.
On Wednesday, the Court of International Trade ruled that Trump didn’t have the emergency authority he had used to impose tariffs around the world. That was the ruling temporarily overturned Thursday by the appeals court.
The contradictory back-and-forth decisions left nations around the world uncertain about the status of the next round of tariffs. The administration said it may appeal the issue to the Supreme Court as early as today.
John Tyler served as president from 1841 to 1845, a vice president who became president when William Henry Harrison died three weeks after his inauguration. Tyler left office a year before the Mexican-American War began in 1846.
How did a president born in 1790 have a grandson who lived until 2025? Harrison Ruffin Tyler’s father was 75 when Harrison was born, and his grandfather, President Tyler, was 63 when Harrison’s dad was born. That means three generations were able to span 235 years.

Hello!
My name is Cole, and I’m the CEO here at The Flyover.
I’ve had plenty of jobs in my life. Before I found my way into several digital media roles, I had some dirty jobs—the kind that would make Mike Rowe proud. Flowback driver in the oilfield, drywall hauler, medical janitor, home flood restoration tech.
Without a doubt, my favorite job has been running The Flyover.
And not just because it doesn’t rain indoors.
I grew up in Flyover Country, and I’ve felt keenly the way that traditional news media brands have left most of America behind. I believe in the mission of The Flyover: to deliver a free, top-notch news publication without the bias that’s driven most of us away from mainstream media.
Every day, I get to come to work to help build something I believe in.
1.5 million Americans believe in The Flyover, too, and it’s an honor to serve you every day.
If you appreciate what we deliver, would you support us directly?
We’re an independent small business, and our advertisers don’t completely cover the revenue that we depend on.
I would appreciate a donation. They allow us to keep building the product we believe in!
