NFL Brothers by Bond, Not Blood

Tez Johnson scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 6, hauling in a 45-yard pass during the Bucs’ win over the 49ers on Oct. 12. This was just months after reuniting with his adoptive brother, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Johnson, a seventh-round pick out of Oregon, caught national attention not just for his play, but for the story behind it. Years ago, Bo’s family took in Johnson during a tough stretch in high school, providing him with a stable home and a chance at a better future. Watch an interview here.

In Brooklyn’s Boerum Hill, 8-year-old Linus Piepmeyer has turned a gumball machine into a beloved block-side business, selling NYC-themed pins he designs himself for 50 cents a pop.

Dallas Lawyers Save Kitten Trapped in Car

A trapped kitten meowing from the undercarriage of a Kia in a Dallas parking garage sparked a lunchtime rescue by three lawyers from Baker Botts.

Associate Malik Allen first heard the cries, then teamed up with colleagues, armed with meatballs, warm milk, and help from ChatGPT, to coax the feline out.

After 30 tense minutes and some makeshift meowing of their own, they found the kitten stuck in the underbelly panel and called in building maintenance for backup.

The kitten was eventually freed and adopted by one of the attorneys—earning a new home and, jokingly, a legal team.
