Today, we bring you images from NASA’s James Webb Telescope, which just captured a colossal baby star firing off twin jets stretching eight light-years—an awe-inspiring peek into how massive stars are born.

Manhunt for Charlie Kirk’s Killer Intensifies
The FBI released photos of a college-age person of interest and offered a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.
Kirk was fatally shot during a Turning Point USA event on Sept. 10, 2025, with authorities recovering an older model Mauser .30-06 bolt-action rifle in a wooded area where they believe the suspect fled.
Kirk’s death was announced by President Trump, who praised the influential activist as a “truly Great American Patriot.” On Thursday morning, Trump, at an observance of the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, said he would posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Vice President JD Vance’s plane, Air Force Two, was set to transport Kirk’s casket from Utah to Arizona on Thursday, where his family lives and Turning Point USA is headquartered. Vance and second lady Usha Vance were scheduled to meet with Kirk’s family and close friends in Salt Lake City before the trip.

Paramount Skydance Eyes Warner Bros. Buyout
Paramount Skydance is preparing an all-cash bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, aiming to acquire the entire company before its planned corporate split, according to reports.
The potential deal would combine CBS, HBO, CNN, and two powerhouse film studios under one umbrella, plus a treasure trove of sports rights and blockbuster franchises. Warner Bros.’s nearly $33 billion market capitalization is more than double that of Paramount Skydance.
Warner shares surged 29% on the news, with Paramount Skydance up 6%. The bid is backed by Larry Ellison, who this week became the world’s richest man, while his son David Ellison is set to lead the combined media giant.

Poll: Cost of Living Tops U.S. Concerns
Nearly half of Americans now identify the cost of living as their biggest personal challenge in 2025, according to a new Statista Consumer Insights survey of over 4,000 U.S. adults.
Physical and mental health concerns ranked significantly lower at 26%, marking a notable shift from pre-pandemic trends when health and political issues dominated public sentiment rather than personal economics.
The survey reflects broader economic realities after years of inflation and higher interest rates, creating what analysts called a “silent squeeze” on middle-income earners. See data visualization here.

From the Founder’s Desk: Why I Want The Flyover Readers to Own The Flyover
When I decided to accept investors in The Flyover, one thing mattered to me more than anything: that our readers would have the chance to become our owners. If I had my druthers, every single investor in The Flyover would be a Flyover reader. That’s why we’ve structured this offering with you in mind:
Legally, the offering is open to any U.S. citizen. But my heart—and our strategy—are focused on keeping ownership in the hands of our readers. Right now, we’re less than $130,000 away from hitting $2 million raised. Once we cross that mark, the extra 5% bonus goes away.
That’s why I’m asking our readers one more time: will you consider investing in The Flyover today?
But some of our readers are asking: “How do I get a return on my investment?”
Here’s why The Flyover is different:
- Already profitable after just two years (most start-ups never are)
- 80% gross margins and 24% net income (exceptional margins)
- In the top 1% of media start-ups (proven strength)
How investors could realize returns:
-
A Sale – Only to a partner who shares our values. (CNN or the New York Times need not apply.)
-
Public Listing – Shares traded openly on an exchange.
- Profit Distributions (Dividends) – Because we’re already profitable, this is possible.
Recap: Sale. Listing. Distributions.
My Closing Pitch
More than 1,225 Flyover readers have already joined us as investors. We’re just $130K away from our next milestone—and once we hit it, the chance at 10% bonus shares drops to 5%. If you’ve been considering investing, now is the moment. Let’s finish this round together and make The Flyover a news company truly owned by its readers.
Will you be one of the investors who help us keep The Flyover reader-owned?
