Israeli Raid Rescues Four, Kills 274 Palestinians
Israeli heavy air and ground assault forces rescued four hostages in Gaza Saturday, killing 274 Palestinians and injuring 700.
Three of the hostages were held in the home of Al Jazeera journalist Abdallah Aljamal in Gaza, who was killed by special forces soldiers during the operation.
In the raid’s aftermath on Sunday, Benny Gantz, a member of Israel’s War Cabinet, resigned, citing a lack of plans for postwar Gaza and stating Netanyahu is making “total victory impossible.”
Road Collapses on Teton Pass
A major section of Wyoming’s Teton Pass road collapsed Saturday, creating a large chasm that severed the crucial commuter link between eastern Idaho and the tourist destination of Jackson.
The collapse followed a crack and road drop on Thursday that caused a motorcycle crash. Despite temporary repairs, the road closed again shortly, underscoring the mountain pass’s instability.
Wyoming is working on “a long-term solution to rebuild this critical roadway,” though the repair timeline remains uncertain. Watch the aerial video of the area.
The total listings in May were up 35% from the previous year nationwide, but still a third lower than before the pandemic. This shortage continues driving up home prices in most areas.
Nevada saw 25% fewer homes hit the market annually, while Florida listings surged 70%, especially in Southwest markets like Cape Coral battered by Hurricane Ian. The housing market inventory in Texas rose above pre-pandemic levels. Explore an interactive map and see how your state compares.
