Trump Set To Decide on Iran Deal
President Trump said Friday he would make a final decision on a deal with Iran that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz and commit Tehran to destroying its roughly 900 pounds of highly-enriched uranium.
No decision was announced by midnight ET, but earllier Vice President JD Vance said the sides were “very close” but “not there yet,” while Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Friday there were “no negotiations” on its nuclear program. An Iranian state media report called Trump’s Truth Social post a “mixture of truth and lies.”
In the Truth Social post, Trump demanded Iran never build a nuclear weapon, open the strait immediately without tolls, clear its mines, and surrender its uranium for destruction by the U.S.

A new map of median nursing home costs in every state shows Americans face wildly different bills depending on where they age, with Alaska topping the nation at nearly $334,000 per year for a semi-private room.
That’s nearly five times the median cost in Texas, the least expensive state for nursing home care at roughly $68,000. Coastal states like Connecticut, Hawaii, New York, and Oregon cluster near the top, while the Midwest and South offer the most affordable options.
Nationwide, the median runs about $9,800 per month for a semi-private room—and with 94% of facilities reporting major staffing shortages, prices are expected to keep climbing as America’s population ages. See where your state ranks.
