Good Morning! On this day in 1913, the Lincoln Highway Association dedicated the route of the Lincoln Highway, connecting Times Square in New York City to Lincoln Park in San Francisco.s
It’s that time of year again: Tomorrow morning you can sleep in an extra hour because the clocks will be returning to standard time overnight tonight, a shift welcomed by those who want early sunshine and disliked by those who enjoy later sunsets. How do you feel about it? Take our poll below and let us know.
The toilet gets scrubbed every week. So why do scientists say it’s one of the cleanest spots in the house? Today we count down the seven germiest things in the average home, and the toilet doesn’t make the list. Which refrigerator drawer tested positive for salmonella and listeria? What morning ritual grows mold in half of homes? Why would a microbiologist rather make a sandwich next to the toilet than in most kitchens? Amy has the answers on today’s episode of The Flyover Podcast. Tune in here!

N. Korea Blamed in Record Crypto Theft
Hackers drained about $6.3 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance wallets on Thursday, the largest crypto theft on record, and blockchain investigators have tied the massive hack to North Korea.
Binance said the attacker got in through a compromised engineer’s laptop, which allowed unauthorized withdrawal transactions. The company said it has seen no evidence that its private keys leaked.
About $3 billion has been frozen on-chain after stablecoin issuers, including Tether and Circle, blocked the stolen tokens. Binance has suspended withdrawals while it investigates, while deposits are operating normally.
Binance said it will cover customer losses from its emergency reserve fund, and researchers say the stolen crypto money funds North Korea’s weapons programs.

Trump Revives Canceled Campaign Rallies
Canceled campaign rallies in Kansas and Iowa are back on the schedule, the White House said Friday, putting President Trump in both states Sunday for a final in-person campaign push two days before the midterm elections.
The campaign offered no reason for the switch. The stops were originally scrapped Thursday, when the Republican National Committee said Republicans were in a strong position in both states and that a “72-hour sprint” of phone rallies would reach more voters.
The Kansas rally had been set for Saturday and Iowa for Sunday. Both will now be held Sunday, rearranged for scheduling to accommodate nearly 20 tele-rallies added to Trump’s schedule.
In Kansas, Sen. Roger Marshall faces an unexpectedly close race against Democrat Adam Hamilton. “He is doing very well. We are going to have a strong Tuesday night,” Trump said.

Daylight Saving Time Falls Back Tonight
Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, when most of the country sets clocks back an hour and returns to standard time.
The switch returns the hour lost in March and hands back an extra hour of sleep. It also puts sunset about an hour earlier, which means dark evening commutes until spring but earlier sunrises.
Fire officials treat the change as a standing reminder to test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and put in fresh batteries. Phones update on their own, but ovens, car clocks, and wall clocks generally need to be set back by hand.
A bill to make daylight saving time permanent passed the House in July and still awaits a Senate vote, so there are no changes for this year. Hawaii and most of Arizona sit it out, as always, staying on standard time year-round.
