Good Morning! On this day in 1963, civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, calling for the end of racial segregation and discrimination.
Today’s Throwback Thursday takes us back 34 years to a time capsule Princess Diana helped with in 1991. Inside were objects chosen by children to capture the spirit of the early ’90s. If you were making a capsule today, what would you put inside? Reply to let us know.
Later this afternoon, keep an eye on your inbox for a special story from our founder. It’s about his dad, Grandpa Jim, and the life-changing difference a simple pair of hearing aids made. We can’t wait to share this heartfelt message with you.

Gunman Kills 2, Injures 17 in Minneapolis Church Shooting
Two children were killed and 17 others wounded when a gunman opened fire Wednesday during morning Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.
Police identified the shooter as 23-year-old Robin Westman, born as a biological male who identified as a transgender woman. Westman killed himself at the scene.
The children who died, ages 8 and 10, were sitting in church pews for the Mass. Fourteen other students and three elderly parishioners were among the injured. Two of those are in critical condition.
Westman’s mother had worked at the school as a secretary until 2021. Police say he left behind disturbing writings and scrawled “Kill Donald Trump” on gun magazines.
The FBI is investigating the attack as a potential act of domestic terrorism and anti-Catholic hate.

Feds Take Over DC’s Union Station
The Trump administration has taken control of Washington, D.C.’s Union Station from Amtrak, citing rising crime and the terminal’s state of disrepair.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the move is part of Trump’s push to “make the capital safe and beautiful,” with plans for security upgrades, renovations, and new retail. The takeover comes alongside Trump’s federal control of the D.C. police and deployment of National Guard troops.
Supporters, including local business owners, say crime feels lower and police are responding faster, while critics dismiss the effort as a political stunt that risks heavy-handed enforcement.
Mayor Muriel Bowser acknowledged that carjackings in Washington, D.C., have fallen by about 87% since Trump’s federal takeover of city policing.
