Trump Says Iran Executions to Stop
President Trump announced Wednesday that planned executions of protesters in Iran would not proceed, saying he was told by “very important sources on the other side” that the death penalty reprisals had been stopped.
Iran, meanwhile, broadcast a threatening message on state-run TV showing a photo of Trump during the assassination attempt on him in Pennsylvania in July 2024 with the words “This time it will not miss the target,” while Tehran warned regional neighbors it would hit American bases if Washington strikes.
The United States is withdrawing some personnel from bases in the Middle East, including Qatar’s Al Udeid air base, as a precaution, with two European officials saying U.S. military intervention was possible and could come within 24 hours.
The U.S.-based HRANA rights group verified 2,403 protester deaths and 147 government-affiliated deaths during the protests so far in what’s described as the worst domestic unrest the Islamic Republic has ever faced.

Verizon Outage Prompts Alerts
Verizon suffered a widespread network outage on Wednesday, leaving customers with phones displaying “SOS” mode and unable to make calls, send texts, or access mobile data across major cities.
New York City and Washington, D.C., officials issued emergency alerts urging residents to use devices from other carriers or go directly to police and fire stations.
Service was mostly restored by late Wednesday evening. Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr announced the agency would review the outage, while Verizon said there was no evidence of a cyberattack.

Report: How Older Americans Spend Their Day
Americans 65 and older are spending dramatically less time reading, attending religious services, and socializing at events compared to 20 years ago, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
Computer use for leisure skyrocketed 200% since 2003, while time spent caring for grandchildren doubled, pet care increased 80%, and walking and exercise rose nearly 40%.
Activities that declined the most include attending arts and entertainment events (down 55.6%), hosting social gatherings (down 55.6%), and reading for personal interest (down 39.8%), as older adults increasingly shifted toward digital behaviors and at-home religious practice over formal worship.
The changes reflect longer life expectancies, aging-in-place trends, and lingering behavioral shifts from the pandemic, with 91% of adults 50+ now owning smartphones and 72% owning laptops as of 2024.

The Flyover Investment Round Is Closing
And the final date will be announced shortly.
We want The Flyover readers to hear this directly from us.
Our current investment round is closing this month. The final closing date will be announced in the next few days—and once it’s closed, this opportunity will be gone.
If you’ve ever considered becoming an owner of The Flyover, this is an important moment:
You no longer have months to decide. You have days.
If You’re on the Fence, Consider the Facts
This isn’t an idea-stage media startup. It’s a growing, profitable newsroom—built differently.
Over the past year:
-
Reader growth more than doubled
-
Revenue grew 73% year over year
-
Gross profit grew 88% year over year
-
The Flyover Podcast launched and scaled to nearly 1,000,000 monthly views/listens
-
More than 2,500 investors have already joined as owners
That growth didn’t come from clickbait, outrage, or celebrity journalists. It came from something rare in modern media: facts, restraint, and respect for readers.
This Is the Final Push
Before this round closes, we’re making one last invitation to The Flyover readers. Join a movement that is:
-
Rejecting clickbait sensationalism
-
Walking away from doom-scrolling and outrage cycles
-
Saying no to political agendas disguised as news
-
Refusing celebrity journalism that puts ego and agendas over truth
The Flyover is proving that a different model works—and that readers, not corporations, can own the newsroom.
A Personal Ask
If you believe America deserves a better way to consume the news… If you value facts over spin and reporting over opinion… If you’re ready to support a media company doing it the right way…
This is your opportunity to step forward. Only days remain.
Own The Flyover. Invest today.
