Question: What’s the most remote place on Earth?
Answer: Point Nemo in the South Pacific is the place farthest from any other land on the planet, roughly 1,670 miles away from anywhere else. It’s so remote that NASA and other space agencies crash their de-orbited spacecraft there. The inspiration for its name is of course Captain Nemo of Jules Verne’s 1870 novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas.
