Question: Which president had a bowling alley constructed in the White House?

Answer: President Harry S. Truman officially opened the first White House bowling alley on April 19, 1947. Located in the West Wing, it was funded by a group of Truman’s fellow Missourians. Although planned to be unveiled for his 63rd birthday on May 8, the construction finished early. Despite not bowling since his teenage years, Truman threw the first ball and knocked down seven pins. One of the pins is now displayed at the Smithsonian Institution.
