Question: What’s the hardest substance in the human body?

Answer: The enamel in your teeth is harder than your bones. Under a microscope, tooth enamel is highly complex, consisting almost entirely of tightly bunched together mineral crystals 1,000 times smaller than a strand of hair. On the Mohs Hardness Scale, enamel earns a 5, making it about as hard as steel. For reference, diamonds are the strongest substance on earth, ranking 10 on the Mohs scale.
