Question: Your height changes through the day. When are you tallest?
Answer: You’re tallest in the morning when you first get out of bed. Gravity wears us down a bit all day, compressing the spine and cartilage in the knees and other joints. It shrinks us ever-so-slightly throughout the day. During sleep, while we’re horizontal, gravity is evenly distributed and the spine and joints decompress, and thus, we’re at our very tallest when we hop out of bed in the morning.
