Question: Which minty candy is made in Wisconsin, not South America?

Answer: Andes Chocolate Mints are small, rectangular candies featuring a mint-green layer between two chocolate layers. Wrapped in green foil with a mountain-themed logo, they were first introduced in 1950 and are produced by Tootsie Roll Industries in Delavan, Wisconsin.

While the brand’s mountainous logo evokes the cool air of the Peruvian mountains, the name “Andes” honors original founder Andrew Kanelos, who ran a Chicago store called Andes Candies in the 1920s.
