Question: What is the easternmost point of the USA?
Answer: Alaska’s uninhabited Aleutian Island of Semisopochnoi is technically the easternmost point, lying just on the other side of the 180th meridian that divides the East and West hemispheres (See Map). That makes Alaska both the most easternmost AND westernmost point in America.
However, for traditionalists, the easternmost point in the contiguous U.S. is the lighthouse at West Quoddy Head in Maine.
