Question: What can you not do if you have aphantasia?

Answer: You can’t visualize mental images in your mind. In extreme cases, for example, you literally can’t picture an apple, your kitchen, or your kids and don’t understand how other people can. If you can’t see it with your eyes, it’s not there. It’s not a lack of imagination but can affect memory and recognition. About 6% of the population experience some form of aphantasia.
