Florida Wins NCAA Championship
The Florida Gators won the NCAA National Championship on Monday night, overcoming a 12-point deficit to beat the Houston Cougars 65-63 in a fierce game the Cougars led almost end-to-end.
It’s Florida’s third national championship, and their first since winning back-to-back NCAA titles in 2006 and 2007. This was Houston’s third appearance in the championship game without a victory.
The Gators trailed through almost the entire game and didn’t take the lead until the final 46 seconds. On the final wild play, the Cougar’s Emanuel Sharp went up for a shot and instead left a loose ball on the floor as time expired. You can see the play here.

Trump Rejects EU Tariff Offer
The European Union proposed a “zero-for-zero” deal on Monday to eliminate all industrial tariffs between the EU and the U.S., but President Trump swiftly rejected it, accusing the EU of abusing trade rules.
Trump also threatened to impose a 50% tariff on Chinese imports unless Beijing lifts its 34% retaliatory duties by today, warning that all talks with China would be canceled otherwise.
He framed the move as essential to correcting longstanding trade imbalances.
U.S. markets ended modestly lower on Monday: The Dow fell 349 points (0.9%), the S&P 500 declined by 0.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite edged up by 0.1%.

Americans are losing wealth daily and don’t even know it. Fight back using this.
The U.S. government has racked up over $36 trillion in debt, and their solution?
Print more money… borrow more… kick the can down the road.
But that road ends with your retirement savings in the crosshairs.
401(k)s and IRAs tied to the stock market are more exposed than ever. Inflation eats away your value. Market volatility crushes your growth. And when the next shock hits, it’ll be too late to act. But there’s a way out for you and the nest egg you’ve built.
A little-known IRS loophole that lets you move your savings into a private safe haven, free of the chaos and manipulation in the stock market. There’s less risk involved, 30+ years of steady growth, and when the economy suffers a downturn, your savings remain safe and protected from the losses in the stock market.
Due to the IRS loophole, those with a traditional retirement account such as a 401(k), IRA, Pension, or TSP can opt in without paying a cent in taxes or penalties. We break it all down for you in the free 2025 Wealth Protection Guide.
