Good Morning! On this day in 1848, the New York Herald made history by being the first major publication to break the news of the California gold rush to the U.S. East Coast. This announcement would spark one of the most significant mass migrations in American history.
In our Whatever Happened To… section in Sunday’s edition, we asked for your stories about 30-minute pizza delivery, and you didn’t disappoint.
One reader wrote about skiing weekends in Big Bear, where gridlock meant Domino’s never stood a chance of making it on time—he and his friends ate free pizza every night . Another reader confessed to a college trick: ordering pizza to the 10th floor, shutting down the dorm elevators, and stalling the climb just long enough to score a free pie. Keep the stories coming—we love them.

Trump, Zelensky Push Peace Talks at DC Summit
President Trump hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and seven European leaders at the White House Monday in a renewed push to end Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Zelensky called the meeting their “best one” yet and said he’s open to future talks with Vladimir Putin, possibly with Trump at the table.
A hot mic caught Trump telling French President Macron he believes Putin “wants to make a deal.” While no formal peace plan was announced, leaders signaled more progress in the past two weeks than in the previous three years.
Trump said he’ll call Putin after the summit and hinted at a potential three-way meeting to pursue a lasting deal.

Hurricane Erin Threatens East Coast Beaches
Hurricane Erin exploded into a Category 5 over the weekend and remains a dangerous Category 4 storm churning off the East Coast.
While it’s not expected to make U.S. landfall, officials warn of life-threatening surf, rip currents, and coastal flooding from Florida to New England.
North Carolina’s Outer Banks are under evacuation orders, with Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands bracing for 15–20 foot waves and possible road closures.
The National Weather Service says conditions will worsen midweek as Erin grows in size, with hazards stretching hundreds of miles from the storm’s center. Beachgoers are urged to stay out of the water, as currents could remain deadly through the weekend. Follow live updates here.

The $500B Lithium Industry Has a New Unicorn
In 2018, a little-known startup began a quest to disrupt the $500B lithium industry.
Fast-forward to today. After inventing tech that extracts 300% more lithium than conventional methods, EnergyX has officially graduated to Unicorn status, a private company worth more than $1 billion.
Next, they’re ready for their biggest leap yet.
EnergyX is preparing for commercial extraction of up to 9.8M tons of untapped in situ lithium in Chile. A recent third-party study confirmed that’s potentially a $1.1B annual revenue opportunity, at projected market prices. When you combine that with nearly 50,000 acres in the US to be acquired under a binding agreement, it’s no surprise they’re America’s newest unicorn.
It’s also why they’ve already raised $135M+ in investment from behemoths like General Motors and POSCO and 39,000+ retail investors.
Now, there is the possibility to receive 20% in Bonus Stock if you join today. Become an EnergyX investor here.
