Winter Storm, Bomb Cyclone Slam East Coast
Winter Storm Chan and a potential bomb cyclone are expected to hit the central and eastern U.S. this week, bringing heavy snow, ice, and rain just as millions return from Thanksgiving travel. See a winter storm map here.
The storm has already coated parts of the Midwest and Plains, and could dump over a foot of snow from the Poconos to Maine by Tuesday night, while sleet and freezing rain threaten inland areas from the Appalachians to New England.
Along the I-95 corridor, major cities like New York and Philadelphia will mostly see cold rain, though slick roads and flight delays remain likely.
Behind the storm, an Arctic blast driven by the polar vortex is set to bring extreme cold to the U.S. just before Christmas, with highs dropping 15–20 degrees below normal.

Court Disqualifies Trump Pick for US Attorney
A federal appeals court on Monday ruled that Alina Habba was improperly serving as acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, citing a violation of the Federal Vacancies Reform Act.
The appeals court agreed with a lower court that her appointment didn’t meet legal requirements after her initial nomination was withdrawn and she was reinstated in a different role before assuming the acting post.
By upholding her disqualification, the court decision could potentially affect ongoing cases handled during her tenure. The ruling comes as one of the first appellate cases to address this type of appointment process.

Teens Highly Skeptical of News Media
A new survey found that 84% of American teenagers ages 13 to 18 describe today’s news media with negative terms like “biased,” “fake,” “boring,” and “depressing,” reflecting their widespread skepticism toward journalism.
More than half say they believe that journalists regularly engage in unethical behaviors, such as fabricating details or quotes, paying sources, taking images out of context, or doing favors for advertisers.
Less than a third of teens believe reporters correct their errors, confirm facts before reporting, gather information from multiple sources, or cover stories in the public interest—practices fundamental to reputable journalism.
Two-thirds of those asked couldn’t name any movie or TV show about reporters, with those who did most often citing the Spider-Man franchise or Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. See the full study here.

Today is Giving Tuesday. You can help give Bibles right now.
In a remote village in Laos, Vanh’s most treasured possession was her Bible. After she became a Christian, her husband abandoned her, and she and her children were forced from their home. Still, she clung to her faith and her Bible—until it was stolen. Heartbroken, she prayed for another.
Two weeks later, a front-line worker visited her with an extra Bible “just in case.” When he placed it in her hands, Vanh wept with joy. God had answered her prayer through Christians like you.
We’ve seen this same joy in Uganda as a young girl opens her first Bible. We’ve watched Bible distribution teams navigate dangerous roads in Pakistan. Even a donkey without a human guide has carried Bibles across war-torn Syria to reach new Christians!
Today, on Giving Tuesday, you can help deliver more Bibles.
Every $10 you give puts a copy of God’s Word in the hands of a Christian in the world’s spiritually darkest places.

Keep the momentum going! Today is Giving Tuesday.
Right now, many Christians around the world are still waiting for their first Bible. Some risk arrest for owning one. Others have lost theirs because of persecution. Yet they continue to pray for God’s Word.
Today, you can be part of the answer. We have the opportunity to send 80,000 Bibles into hostile areas and restricted nations. Generous friends have already given to provide 40,000—and they are challenging others, like you, to help provide the rest.
Every $10 places one Bible in the hands of a Christian who hungers for God’s Word and is willing to risk everything to own one.
Help send Bibles before Giving Tuesday ends.
