Good Morning! On this day in 1945, the first atomic bomb was detonated by the U.S. in the Trinity test near Alamogordo, New Mexico, ushering in the nuclear age.
In a remote corner of the Southwest, a man found two wild horses trapped neck-deep in hardened mud. With no cell signal and no one around, he dug them out by hand—likely saving their lives, as we report below. Have you ever found yourself the only one who could help—ready or not? Reply to this email to let us know.

June Inflation Rises
U.S. inflation rose to 2.7% in June, up from 2.4% in May, marking the second consecutive monthly increase, according to the Consumer Price Index report released Tuesday.
Economists cited early signs of tariff-driven price hikes, particularly in imported goods, as President Trump’s trade measures begin to ripple through the economy.
The data prompted a modest market response, with the Dow falling over 400 points and the S&P 500 slipping 0.4%.
Tech stocks held firm, as the Nasdaq closed at a record high following a 4% gain in Nvidia, boosted by news it can resume chip sales to China.

Deadly Floods Slam Northeast Cities
At least two people died in Plainfield, New Jersey, after flash flooding swept their car into Cedar Brook during a record-setting storm that inundated parts of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia Monday night.
New York City logged 2.64 inches of rain in Central Park—its wettest July 14 on record—as subway stations and highways flooded, disrupting commutes and rail lines. See a video from an NYC subway station here.
States of emergency were declared across the region, with rainfall topping 6 inches in some areas and more storms expected through Thursday.
Emergency crews responded to dozens of water rescues across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Garbage Strike Hits Coast to Coast
The Teamsters strike against Republic Services, the nation’s second-largest waste disposal company, has spread far beyond Boston, with roughly 2,000 workers now either on strike or refusing to cross picket lines, disrupting trash collection across the mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and West Coast, including L.A., the Bay Area, Seattle suburbs, and Ohio landfills.
Trash is piling up in affected regions—dumpsters are overflowing, rodents are becoming an issue, and some municipalities have even called the strike a public health emergency.
The union demands that the Republic match wages and benefits offered by competitors, especially Capitol Waste Services. The company offers a raise (about 43% over five years) but won’t budge on matching rival pay scales.
The third mandated meeting with a federal mediator was scheduled for Tuesday, but negotiations remain tense and trash delays persist.

What Israel-Iran Taught America (and Investors)
Iran’s recent threats to shut off 20% of the global oil supply reminded us why America keeps up to 714 million barrels in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
Unfortunately, the situation is far more dire with the critical minerals necessary for defense, energy, and technology. Take lithium, where China controls 80% of the global supply. But America? It has no strategic reserves.
M2i Global plans to fix that. They’re bringing mineral processing home with a three-tiered approach: revitalizing abandoned mines, recycling scrap metal, and forging public-private partnerships.
They’re already working with the federal government on Phase 1 of a U.S. Strategic Mineral Reserve, so it’s no wonder M2i Global is already publicly traded.
And for a limited time, investors can unlock up to 20% bonus shares as M2i Global seizes a $163 billion+ opportunity.

➤ Beyond Calcium: The Missing Link for Strong Bones. Forget what you’ve heard about calcium—it’s only part of the story.
