A Wisconsin county judge was arrested and charged with two felonies by the FBI Friday, accused of helping an illegal immigrant evade arrest by federal agents.
According to a 13-page complaint, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan hid Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who faces three misdemeanor battery charges, inside the courthouse after his April 18 pretrial conference.
She is alleged to have “intentionally misdirected federal agents” and helped Flores-Ruiz exit the building where he was arrested after a brief foot chase.
Dugan appeared in federal court Friday without making public comments. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 15.
