US Weighs Sending Troops into Mexico
The Trump administration is drawing up plans to send U.S. troops and CIA agents into Mexico to target drug cartels, officials say.
The plans, still in early stages, would involve drone strikes and limited ground operations under intelligence authority, avoiding direct coordination with Mexico if necessary. President Trump has labeled cartels as terrorist groups, expanding legal authority for military action, and says law enforcement alone hasn’t stopped the flow of deadly drugs.
Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum has rejected any military presence, though she’s allowed expanded CIA surveillance and border troop deployments. Officials insist the mission isn’t imminent but would mark a major shift from past U.S. policy.
The push comes amid new threats against U.S. agents: a leaked federal memo warned that cartels are offering $10,000 to shooters who target Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. The alert says attackers may pose as Mexican soldiers and reflects rising cartel frustration.

50% of SNAP Benefits to Be Paid
The Trump administration told a federal judge on Monday that it would use $4.65 billion in contingency funds to pay 50% of the normal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November to the approximately 42 million Americans who receive food stamps.
This decision came after U.S. District Court Judge Jack McConnell ordered the administration not to stop the payments, although the administration declined to tap an additional $4 billion in emergency funds, known as Section 32 tariff revenue, stating that the money must be saved for child nutrition programs.
This partial payment completely depletes the SNAP contingency fund, leaving no cushion for new applicants, disaster assistance, or fully funding the program as long as the government shutdown continues.

Kimberly-Clark Buys Tylenol Maker for $48.7B
Kimberly-Clark announced Monday it is acquiring Kenvue, the maker of Tylenol, Listerine, and Band-Aid, in a cash and stock deal valued at approximately $48.7 billion, creating a massive consumer health goods company.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026 and will combine Kimberly-Clark’s household brands like Huggies and Kleenex with Kenvue’s products, resulting in a company with roughly $32 billion in annual revenue.
Kimberly-Clark shareholders will own about 54% of the combined entity, which will retain Kimberly-Clark’s headquarters in Irving, Texas, and aim for $1.9 billion in cost savings within three years.

Prison walls don’t just keep people in—they shut hope out. Many prisoners are left to wrestle with guilt, fear, and despair in an environment that prioritizes punishment over rehabilitation. Without lasting change, the majority will return to prison within five years of release. Through The Prisoner’s Journey®, you can help change that story.
This 8-week, in-prison course introduces men and women to Jesus—and now, inside the bleakest places on earth, His light is breaking through.
“In prison, which is a dark and hopeless place, I found the light of Jesus and accepted Him as my Savior. The Prisoner’s Journey brought me hope in the darkness of prison.” —Charbel, prisoner in Lebanon
Currently, Prison Fellowship International is operating in 889 prisons across 35 countries, and 72% of participants continue their faith journey through discipleship.
Your gift of just $15 will transform one prisoner by bringing the light of Christ into their darkness and giving them a Bible in their native language. Thank you for helping a prisoner find a new life!
