Trump Announces New Navy Battleship Fleet
President Trump announced plans to build a new fleet of Navy battleships called the “Trump class,” starting with two ships he described as the largest battleships ever constructed.
Speaking from Mar-a-Lago, Trump said the ships have been under design consideration since his first term and will be part of the Pentagon’s “Golden Fleet,” with plans to ultimately build 20 to 25 vessels.
Secretary of the Navy John Phelan said the first ship, the USS Defiant, will be “the largest, deadliest, and most versatile” warship on the world’s oceans, describing it as an updated version of the Iowa-class battleship.
The president said construction should take about two-and-a-half years, positioning the ships as a counter to adversaries worldwide while addressing the Navy’s aging fleet and shipbuilding shortfalls.

Greenland Envoy Pick Rattles Denmark
President Trump announced Sunday that Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry will serve as U.S. special envoy to Greenland, thrusting the strategically important Arctic territory back into the spotlight.
Landry said he would serve in a volunteer role aimed at making Greenland part of the United States, drawing sharp pushback from Denmark and Greenland’s government.
Danish officials said they would summon the U.S. ambassador in Copenhagen, stressing that sovereignty and territorial integrity are protected under international law.
Polls show most Greenlanders oppose joining the U.S., with many favoring eventual independence from Denmark instead.

Global Coffee Consumption Rankings 2025
Luxembourg holds the title for the world’s highest coffee consumption in 2025, with an average of 5.31 cups per person daily.
This ranking is notably influenced by a “commuter effect,” as nearly half of the country’s workforce lives in neighboring France, Germany, or Belgium and consumes their daily coffee while in Luxembourg.
In Northern Europe, where coffee culture is a historical staple, Finland follows with 3.77 cups per day and Sweden at 2.59 cups, reflecting deep-seated traditions like the Swedish fika (coffee break).
By comparison, the United States ranks 24th globally with 1.22 cups, while major producer nations like Brazil show moderate per-capita figures despite their massive export volumes. At the bottom of the list, tea-dominant countries such as India record just 0.02 cups per person per day. See a full chart here.

Just Nine Days Left in 2025—And a Decision That Matters
There are just nine days left in 2025, and our current Flyover funding round is set to close next month. More than 60% of the round is already subscribed, and once it’s filled, this opportunity will be gone.
We don’t want our most loyal readers to look back and realize they meant to participate—but missed the window.
As we head into 2026, a bigger question we are asking our readers is:
Are we really going to enter another year with the same tired, biased, politically motivated legacy media?
More celebrity journalists chasing clicks. More opinions disguised as reporting. More political agendas shaping coverage instead of facts.
Or are we going to charge ahead and make a meaningful change?
The Flyover was built on a simple but increasingly rare idea: Fact-based reporting, no political agenda, no spin, no outrage—just common-sense news for common-sense Americans.
Changing how millions of Americans get their news doesn’t happen automatically. It happens when readers step forward—not just to read, but to own and help build something better.
If you believe news should inform, not inflame… If The Flyover has become part of your daily routine… If you want to help shape the future of independent, fact-first journalism…
This is your opportunity to invest before the end of 2025 and before this round closes next month.
👉 Own The Flyover—Click here to invest
Will you do something big to finish out 2025? We’d love to welcome you as an owner as we head into 2026.
