Good Morning! On this day in 1850, Millard Fillmore was sworn in as the 13th president of the United States. He took office the day after President Zachary Taylor passed away, five days after becoming ill with a severe intestinal ailment on the Fourth of July.
The music world lost a star Wednesday. Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler died at 75, and her signature hit, Total Eclipse of the Heart, remains one of the most epic pop songs ever recorded. The music video was every bit as dramatic. Do you have a memory tied to the song? Hit reply and tell us about it.

Israel Warns US of Iranian Threat to Trump
Israel warned the United States of a new Iranian plan to assassinate President Trump, according to a Thursday report by the Wall Street Journal.
The warning, passed this week, indicated Tehran was actively considering targeting Trump personally, an escalation beyond older threats tied to the 2020 U.S. strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Trump alluded to the assassination threat on Wednesday, telling reporters, “I guess I’ve been a little bit lucky, but that maybe doesn’t last very long.”
Meanwhile, the U.S. and Iran traded new attacks for a second day, with American forces hitting around 90 military targets after Tehran attacked commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran fired missiles at U.S. allies, triggering alerts in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. Iranian sources reported 14 killed over two days of American strikes.

Dangerous Heat Wave Grips the West
A dangerous heat wave is baking much of the country, with 117 degrees forecast in Palm Springs, California, today and triple-digit heat from Arizona to Florida.
Phoenix hit 113 degrees for three days straight, and its firefighters have answered 400 heat calls since May 1. The area’s 18 heat-related deaths are more than triple last year’s pace.
Overnight lows in the 80s offer little relief. The heat is expected to spread to Colorado, Montana, and the Dakotas this weekend.
Forecasters urge avoiding the sun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., drinking plenty of water, and never leaving kids or pets in cars. Here are more safety tips.

Giant Paper Plane Sets World Record
Engineering students at Italy’s University of Pisa set a world record for the largest paper airplane, a 23-foot craft with a 65.75-foot wingspan built from only paper and glue.
The plane, dubbed Icarus, glided nearly 200 feet across a Bologna exhibition hall after a single push from a 10-foot platform. Watch the flight.
Fifteen students spent months building it, using roughly 660 pounds of paper and 132 pounds of glue layered into honeycomb structures for strength without weight.
The June 25 flight broke a German record that stood for 13 years, more than tripling the old flight distance.
