Trump Ends Ceasefire with Iran
President Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran “over” at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, after the U.S. struck more than 80 Iranian targets overnight in response to attacks on three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
The U.S. hit Iran again Wednesday night, after Trump floated the idea of reimposing a naval blockade on the strait, and suggested the U.S. could seize Kharg Island, which handles roughly 90% of Iran’s oil exports.
Iran retaliated by launching drone and missile strikes at U.S. military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait. The Kuwaiti army said air defenses were confronting “hostile” missile and drone attacks.

Platner Suspends his Senate Campaign
The embattled Senate campaign of Maine Democrat Graham Platner effectively ended Wednesday when Platner suspended his campaign against incumbent GOP Sen. Susan Collins.
Platner had been under pressure to withdraw since being accused of a 2021 rape, an accusation he denies. On Tuesday, the Maine Democratic Party accused him of trying to influence who would replace him as the nominee.
Several Maine Democrats have already publicly declared their interest, and the state party has voted to hold a nominating convention to choose his replacement.
A pro-Collins super PAC reportedly has $8 million on hand for a negative ad blitz aimed at defining any new Democratic nominee before Democrats can get their own messaging out.

Robotaxi Delivers Misbehaving Teens to Police
A Waymo robotaxi drove two misbehaving teens directly to San Mateo, California, police after its remote operators caught them allegedly drinking alcohol and shooting water beads, similar to paintballs, from toy guns out the windows.
Waymo spotted the behavior through interior cameras, then disabled the car and told the 15-year-olds it was having “mechanical issues.” The vehicle pulled into a parking lot where five officers were waiting, raising questions about passenger privacy and the role of autonomous vehicles in police investigations.
Police conceded the teens showed some “ingenuity” but warned that even toy guns can cause real fear. Photos of the capture are here. The DA’s office is reviewing possible charges.

We were told inflation was “transitory.” Then we were told it was “over.” The mainstream narrative’s portrayal of the cost of living is an insult to every hardworking American.
For those near retirement, this puts you in the worst economic scenario imaginable. Another extended period where prices are rising, yet economic growth is slowing. Only this time the Fed can’t save you. They can’t raise interest rates after the recent secondary cut, as it would bring the economy to a halt. They can’t lower interest rates again, without fueling inflation to new highs.
Don’t be on the wrong side of history, working 9-5 until your last days. Download the FREE 2026 Wealth Protection Guide to see how you can transfer your retirement savings into physical gold, tax-free, before quarterly earnings send a market correction that can cripple your wealth.
