Titan Sub Wreckage Found, No Survivors
The Titan submersible suffered a “catastrophic implosion,” killing all five passengers aboard, the Coast Guard announced Thursday.
A robot found the wreckage Thursday morning, but the U.S. Navy said its acoustic technology first heard the sub implosion on Sunday, just hours after the Titan began its mission.
The passengers included the CEO of the company operating the sub, a wealthy Pakistani executive and his son, a British CEO, and a French Navy commander. | Biden Approval Ratings Hit Record Low
President Biden’s approval ratings hit a new low in the most recent Pew Research survey, with only 35 percent of Americans approving of his performance and 62 percent disapproving.
The survey showed he’s underwater with men, women, and people of every age group by a significant margin. He gets positive approval only from people identifying as Democrats.
The political implications can be seen in reports that raising money for Biden’s re-election is going slowly, and the fund-raising gatherings are smaller than expected. | Musk, Zuckerberg Agree to Fight in Cage Battle
Tech titans Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have agreed to fight each other in a cage match in Las Vegas, following challenges issued via Twitter and Facebook.
No one seems sure if it’s a joke, but Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, said he spoke with both men, and they’re “dead serious.”
Serious or not, many took to social media to handicap the fight. Zuckerberg, younger and trained in martial arts, is the clear favorite.
