Good Morning! On this day in 1814, Francis Scott Key observed the 25-hour British bombardment of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. The sight of the American flag still flying over Baltimore Harbor inspired him to write “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
The weekend is almost here and perhaps you’re planning to go fishing with the family. Well, here’s how it worked out for one family when a big fish leaped up and slapped all three kids across their faces.

Judge Drops 3 Charges in Trump Georgia Case
A Georgia court dismissed two of ten criminal charges against former President Donald Trump on Thursday in his trial over interference in the 2020 election.
Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee dismissed the counts dealing with conspiracy and filing false documents, stating the charges fell under federal jurisdiction.
The judge also dismissed an additional charge against Trump’s associates. The former president now faces eight counts, down from 13 after three were dropped earlier for lacking detail.
The case remains in limbo while a decision is made on whether DA Fani Willis should be removed over her admitted relationship with ousted special prosecutor Nathan Wade.
