Fani Willis Fights State Subpoenas
Three judges recused themselves this week as Fulton County DA Fani Willis attempted to block subpoenas requiring her testimony before a Georgia State Senate committee.
The committee subpoenaed Willis to testify tomorrow and submit documents on the 2020 election probe that resulted in her office charging former President Trump and associates with election interference.
On Sept. 4, Willis filed a petition seeking a permanent injunction, arguing that the committee’s broad subpoenas would harm her case.
It remained unclear whether a new judge would be assigned in time to hear the case before Friday’s Senate hearing. It was also uncertain whether Willis would comply with the subpoenas if an injunction was not issued.

And in Nebraska, there’s Ivanna Cone, a family-owned ice cream shoppe that’s very pun-friendly. You can see your state’s top ice cream parlor here.
