Good Morning! On this day in 1846, astronomers discovered Neptune, the eighth planet in our solar system, through mathematical calculations based on unusual perturbations in Uranus’s orbit.
To our readers: Sunday’s Poll section inadvertently reported the results of the wrong question. The correct question was: Do you prefer to vote early in elections?
The results: Yes: 53.8%, No: 46.2%. Our apologies for the error!
Check out the opportunity to invest in today’s sponsor LiquidPiston and their revolutionary engine technology.

Harris, Trump Eye “60 Minutes” Interviews
Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are considering doing interviews on the CBS news program 60 Minutes that would air back-to-back on Oct. 7 as a campaign grand finale.
Neither Harris nor Trump has accepted the invitation yet, but both reportedly have it under consideration.
The quadrennial CBS special typically airs separate interviews with the candidates back-to-back, giving voters one of their last chances before the election to evaluate the two in tandem.
The Trump campaign has said the former president won’t participate in another debate, despite Harris’ acceptance of a CNN invite for a second debate on Oct. 23.

Judge’s Murder Rocks Kentucky Town
A small Kentucky town is reeling after its sheriff was charged in the shooting death of the county’s only judge in his courthouse chambers.
The preliminary investigation suggests that Letcher County Sheriff Shawn “Mickey” Stines shot and killed Judge Kevin Mullins after an argument in the courthouse, but no motive has been named thus far.
The two men were reportedly old friends and had lunch together just before the shooting.
Sheriff Stines was recently deposed in a federal investigation into a former deputy who had pleaded guilty to raping a woman in Judge Mullins’ chambers. It’s not known whether this played into the argument that led to the shooting.
Stines surrendered to authorities at the courthouse following the shooting.

Sunken Yacht May Hold Classified Data
The $40 million superyacht that capsized off Italy in August, killing billionaire Mike Lynch and six others, may contain top-secret documents and confidential data on foreign governments in water-tight safes.
Italian prosecutors have ordered heightened security around the wreck, believing it holds encrypted hard drives with classified data tied to Western intelligence services.
Lynch, a former adviser to British prime ministers and recently acquitted in a U.S. fraud case, had strong ties to Western intelligence through his companies, notably Darktrace, an AI-driven cybersecurity firm.
Stephen Chamberlain, Lynch’s business partner and co-defendant in the U.S. fraud case, died after he was hit by a car just one day after the yacht incident.

9/27 Deadline: Invest in What Could Be the Engine Innovation of the Century
Traditional internal combustion engines have remained largely unchanged for 150+ years. But LiquidPiston is transforming the future of engine technology with their revolutionary X-Engine™ platform. It delivers up to 10X more power-to-weight and 30% more fuel efficiency than conventional engines, with the ability to run on hydrogen, gas diesel, and other fuels.
You have until 9/27 to become a LiquidPiston shareholder.
They’ve already secured $65M+ in military contracts with the U.S. Army, Air Force, DARPA, and more. But LiquidPiston’s potential in the $400B internal combustion engine market extends far beyond the military.
Here’s a snapshot of the markets they’re positioned to impact:
-
Military Power Systems: For the Army, they’re supplying lighter, more portable power supply to save soldiers from lugging 1,000-lb generators from base-to-base. They’re also enabling more efficient, longer-flying drones.
-
Hybrid-Electric Vehicles: As the demand for cleaner, more efficient transportation grows, LiquidPiston’s X-Engine™ can play a crucial role in the development of hydrogen-powered and hybrid-electric vehicles.
-
Urban Air Mobility (UAM): By combining the same power with engines up to 10X smaller, we’re a step closer to making air taxis a reality.
As they move from the lab to the real world, LiquidPiston is on the verge of a turning point in the industry. And investors still have time to join before the deadline.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this game-changing engine innovation and invest in LiquidPiston by 9/27.
