Good Morning! On this day in 1793, the Louvre opened as a public museum after serving as a royal palace for over two centuries. It now features one of the world’s richest collections of artwork and artifacts.
If anyone needed another reminder of how fast the world is changing, consider this: the Olympics gave out medals for skateboarding and break dancing this year. It’s a brave new world.

The remnants of Hurricane Debby continued to produce severe weather in parts of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Friday, causing flooding, flight delays, and widespread power outages.
Since making landfall in Florida on Monday as a Category 1 hurricane, Debby has been linked to eight deaths and a string of rare tropical tornadoes, producing winds as high as 140 mph.
Heavy rains in the New York and Pennsylvania area produced flash flooding, trapping people in their cars and homes. Floodwaters made multiple roads impassable, forcing first responders to attempt high-water and helicopter rescues.
Delta threatened legal action against both CrowdStrike and Microsoft on Thursday after a regulatory filing showed that July’s internet outage cost the airline $550 million.
The outage was linked to a cybersecurity update pushed out by CrowdStirke that affected Microsoft products. The defect resulted in flight cancellations and delays, television stations going dark, and banks unable to process transactions.
CrowdStrike described Delta’s narrative of events as “misleading” and stated that it had teams working with Delta to correct the problem. CrowdStrike even claimed they won praise from one Delta board member for their efforts.
Delta also has legal worries of its own. Passengers whose flights were affected by the CrowdStrike tech outage last month filed a lawsuit against the airline this week.
What to Stream This Weekend
The summer movie season may be winding down, but the number of quality films and television shows to stream has not slowed.
Hulu has Brats, an excellent documentary by Andrew McCarthy that examines the Brat Pack, the group of teen actors who took over Hollywood in the 1980s. Emilio Estevez, Jon Cryer, Lea Thompson, Ally Sheedy, and Demi Moore appear, but it’s Rob Lowe’s interview that really puts everything into perspective.
Apple TV’s latest movie, The Instigators, pairs Matt Damon and Casey Affleck in a comedy-heist film, proving that Damon is at his best when working with an Affleck.
The recent death of Bob Newhart had many in The Flyover office feeling nostalgic, which is why we recommend Newhart on Amazon Prime. All the seasons and Larry, his brother Darryl, and his other brother Darryl can be found there.

So, every time you bite into this fruit…
Your immune system flags this “invader”… and unleashes its army of toxin killers. And since this nutrient enters your bloodstream once it’s digested…
And even if you HATE fruit and veggies… I can 99.9% guarantee you’ve eaten this fruit in the past week — probably without even knowing it.
