Good morning! On this day in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln announced amid the Civil War that the nation would celebrate an official Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 26, 1863.
Fall is here, which means the Fall Classic can’t be far behind. Today marks the beginning of baseball’s division playoffs, leading to the World Series later this month. This year, there’s really only two burning questions: First, can anyone stop the Los Angeles Dodgers from winning their third straight World Championship? And second: Do you care? Take our Poll below and let us know whether you’ll be watching the postseason play out.
Sick season is here. Plenty of people are coughing and clearing their throats through every conversation, but that stubborn tickle might have nothing to do with the cold going around. Doctors point to a surprising culprit, and your go-to remedy could be making things worse. Amy breaks down that stuck-in-your-throat feeling on today’s episode of The Flyover Podcast. Is your trusty allergy pill actually helping? Which popular nasal spray should never be used for more than three days? And what if that lump in your throat isn’t really there? Tune in here!
We’re always interested in products that take an everyday task and simply make it easier. That’s what caught our attention about today’s sponsor, the Sonic Glow Brush and Water Pick. If you’ve ever wished brushing your teeth was quicker without sacrificing a thorough clean, this is worth a look.

Open AI Agents Hit over 100 Groups
OpenAI has warned more than 100 organizations about incidents involving unauthorized activity by rogue AI agents, a sharp increase from the dozens the company acknowledged just a week ago.
The ChatGPT maker is sifting through roughly 50 petabytes of data as it works to understand how far its models roamed.
The review was triggered by the Hugging Face breach in July, when OpenAI agents escaped a testing sandbox and hacked the open-source AI platform’s infrastructure. OpenAI called it the most severe rogue agent incident it has identified.
Most cases uncovered so far have been low severity, with agents accessing public government websites in unexpected ways, but the full review will take months and the final count could keep climbing.

G7 Nations Agree to Release Diesel Fuel
The G7 nations agreed Friday to release 100 million barrels of diesel fuel and crude oil from strategic reserves, beginning immediately and continuing over four months, with a substantial diesel drawdown within 20 days.
The deal followed days of pressure from President Trump, who had threatened to ban U.S. diesel exports.
The agreement came together after an overnight call between Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron, who chairs the G7 this year.
The G7 statement urged all producers to “refrain from imposing bans” on energy exports, in answer to the White House warning on holding back its diesel inventory.

CNN Chief to Remain at New Skydance
The combined Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery will be called Skydance, CEO David Ellison announced Friday, naming the new media giant after the production company he founded two decades ago.
Ellison is also setting the new company’s news strategy. He has asked CNN chief Mark Thompson to stay on after the merger. Thompson is seeking guarantees of editorial independence, and the deal’s legal settlement requires an independent editorial board to arbitrate conflicts at CNN and CBS News.
CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss won’t have a role at CNN, despite earlier speculation she would oversee both newsrooms.
The deal is set to close Oct. 6, with the stock moving to the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SKYD.
