Trump Holds First Rally Since Assassination Attempt
The Trump campaign held a rally Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan—the first since the July 13 attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania, and since Trump named J.D. Vance as his running mate.
Vance took the stage in the battleground state as 12,000 piled into the indoor event, and he responded to Vice President Kamala Harris’ remarks about Vance’s RNC speech. For his part, Trump countered the idea that he is a threat to democracy by saying, “I took a bullet for democracy,” and jabbed at the chaos in the Democratic party surrounding whether Biden will go through with a re-election bid.
As expected, the huge crowds in Grand Rapids dealt with increased security as the Secret Service continues to face scrutiny over last Saturday’s shooting.
Israel Strikes Yemen
Israel has confirmed it struck Hodeidah, a port city in Yemen, one day after a Houthi drone attack in Tel Aviv. The Yemen-based group had claimed responsibility for the Tel Aviv attack that killed one person and injured 10 others.
Israeli ministers highlighted the potential ramifications of the strike, recognizing that “an active front is being opened against the Houthis that will lead to a chain of responses,” but also said they were advised against restraint in response to the Tel Aviv attack.
This is the first time Israel has ever directly attacked Yemen.
List: Most Reliable Car Brands in the US
A new J.D. Power ranking of most reliable car brands in the U.S. lists Toyota and its luxury arm, Lexus, as the best two brands, followed by Buick and Chevrolet.
The ranking is based on the number of problems reported per 100 vehicles, across a spectrum of issues. The most common complaint by far was about vehicles’ “infotainment systems,” followed by complaints about car exteriors.
The bottom of the list ranked Volkswagen, Land Rover, Audi and Chrysler as the brands that drew the most complaints. The full list here.

“It’s actually a lot simpler than you might think,” Horton, who is 65, told us. “It’s a method anyone can do that takes about one or two minutes a day. And within a very short period of time, you’re going to feel stronger, and probably healthier, than you have in years.“
Health experts have long believed age-related muscle loss is simply an inevitable aspect of getting older, with the only way to slow it down being to increase dietary protein and do more exercise.
But Tony Horton says he’s found a much more effective way to fight age-related muscle loss – and even build new muscle – that has nothing to do with exercise.
In fact, the results have been so remarkable, Horton is now the subject of a short documentary detailing exactly how his body-strengthening method works. It is online and free for the public to view and share.
