Trump Overperforms with Minority Voters
Women, Latino, black, youth, and white-and-suburban male voters were the five key demographics that led to President-elect Donald Trump’s dominant Election Day victory, according to an AP VoteCast analysis.
Trump received 54% of the Latino male vote, while Vice President Kamala Harris garnered 44%, marking a significant shift from 2020 when Biden led with 59%, representing a major realignment in that demographic.
Harris also underperformed with Latino women, winning by a 25-point margin compared to Biden’s 39-point lead in 2020.
Overall, according to exit polls, Trump won a majority of white and suburban male voters while securing about 13% of black voters and 45% of Latino voters, a significant increase from 2020, when he won 8% of black voters and 32% of Latino voters.

Stock Market, Bitcoin Skyrocket After Election

Bitcoin’s response was more immediate. The cryptocurrency soared even before the election was officially called. It eventually climbed as much as 9%, reaching an all-time high above $75,000.

DOJ Weighs How to Drop Trump Cases
The Justice Department is assessing how to end two federal criminal cases against President-elect Donald Trump to align with its policy that a sitting president cannot be prosecuted, agency sources say.
Trump was indicted last year in two cases led by Special Counsel Jack Smith: one for alleged mishandling of sensitive government records and another for purportedly attempting to overturn the 2020 election.
This development would allow Trump to enter the White House without the burden of federal criminal prosecutions, which once posed potential felony convictions and prison sentences.
Former Attorney General William Barr has urged prosecutors to drop pending state and federal charges against Trump, advocating for the cases’ dismissal before Trump assumes office again.
