Good Morning! On this day in 2000, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Cats closed after 7,485 performances; it was the longest-running show on Broadway until it was surpassed by his Phantom of the Opera in 2006.
Did you know: In 1980, President Carter didn’t attend a planned debate after objecting to a three-way format that featured Republican nominee Ronald Reagan and independent candidate John Anderson. Carter would go on to lose to Reagan in a landslide victory.

Trump, Harris Set to Debate Tonight
Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will meet tonight in Philadelphia for their first matchup as nominees.
The ABC News debate, moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis, comes as recent polls have Trump gaining on Harris, including a New York Times/Siena College poll showing Trump leading nationally by 1 point.
Both campaigns have agreed to no audience, controlled microphones, and moderator-only questions. Trump won a coin toss for the closing statement order, while Harris selected her podium position.
These were the same rules as at the first presidential debate between Trump and President Biden. Biden’s performance was so poor that he pulled out of the race in favor of Harris.

UNESCO Warns Against “Selfie Tourism”
UNESCO warned that “selfie tourism,” where travelers visit destinations primarily to take photos for social media, is threatening to destroy some of the world’s most iconic sites.
The organization said in a statement that the trend has led to overcrowding, environmental degradation, and disrespectful behavior, including trespassing and vandalism.
UNESCO urged tourists to prioritize respect and cultural engagement over capturing the perfect shot, as the damage to historical sites and natural landscapes may be irreversible.
The organization also called on influencers to set better examples for their followers to protect these locations and communities.

Brace yourself… because you may end up throwing out a lot of the food in your fridge after you finish reading today’s email.
You see, Maryland physician Dr. Brian Paris says many so-called “health foods” are actually the cause of sore, stiff joints that make you feel miserable.
“If you’re in constant, chronic, excruciating agony and don’t feel well, it has to do with what you’re eating… and just as important… what you’re not eating but should eat,” says Dr. Paris.
Dr. Paris found certain foods marketed as being healthy… actually contain a toxic nutrient your immune system sees as the enemy.
So, every time you take a bite of one of these foods… your immune system unleashes its “army” to attack this nutrient.
And since this nutrient enters your bloodstream once it’s digested… your immune system starts attacking even healthy tissue and organs… causing burning in your joints and muscles.
The good news is… this problem is EASY to fix.
“You don’t have to completely change your diet. Just eliminating these 5 foods from your diet – including a certain kind of vegetable – will do wonders to your life,” he says.

Financial advisors often overlook gold due to conflicts of interest, prioritizing assets that generate ongoing fees or commissions. Once you own gold, there are no recurring fees or commissions for advisors to gain from, making it less appealing from their perspective. However, as an investor focused on long-term stability and diversification, gold should not be overlooked.
