Good Morning! On this date in 1956, a 21-year-old Elvis Presley gyrated his soon-to-be-famous pelvis on The Milton Berle Show. Some would say this was the moment Elvis truly became the King of Rock and Roll.
Today’s poll is about your favorite outdoor activity from childhood. Cole, our CEO, voted for “building tree houses,” and he also admitted to “borrowing” most of the supplies from nearby construction sites—a 10-year-old’s crime spree in Flyover country. Cast your vote in our poll below, and let us know if you pulled any fast ones yourself.
We’re flying today with our sponsors at LMNT, the sugar-free way to stay hydrated this summer.
Biden Pivots on Border Security
President Biden issued an executive order Tuesday on border security as the White House looks to limit the number of asylum seekers and neutralize immigration as an election issue.
The new policy calls for border officials to limit the number of asylum seekers when encounters at points of entry exceed 2,500 per day. The current daily average of illegal crossings exceeds that number and was last below 2,500 in January 2021.
The ACLU said Biden’s order was restrictive, dangerous, and violated people’s legal right to seek asylum. The group said it plans to sue the Biden administration.
House Speaker Mike Johnson said it was Biden’s policies that created the border problem and that the new executive action was “weak.”
Disney, Florida Make Up with $17 Billion Deal
Florida and Disney are moving toward approving a $17 billion development plan for Walt Disney World, a major turnaround from the long battle that began when Disney spoke out against the state’s education policies.
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District is set to hold a public hearing on the development plan before voting whether to approve it on June 15.
While Disney has not confirmed specific plans, the investment could lead to the development of a much-rumored fifth theme park at Walt Disney World, joining Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
AI Workers Warn of Danger to Humanity
A group of employees from leading AI companies, including OpenAI and Google DeepMind, published an open letter Tuesday expressing concern that the industry is growing too fast without sufficient oversight.
The employees claim that strict confidentiality agreements prevent them from sharing information about the risks of artificial intelligence, including the potential of runaway AI “resulting in human extinction.”
They argue that while these risks can be mitigated, AI companies have strong financial incentives to avoid effective oversight, with the generative AI market predicted to be worth $1 trillion within a decade. (Read the Letter)

It’s no secret that Summer is just around the corner which means temperatures are starting to heat up. Make sure you have a plan to stay extra hydrated.
It’s easy to forget that our sweat isn’t just water. But why is it that we only down a glass of water after a long run or a hot day? Our sweat consists of water and salt, so next time you’re reaching for that glass of water … remember to replenish those electrolytes.
After years of mixing his own electrolyte blends, and frustration with healthy options on the market, LMNT Co-Founder and former Navy SEAL, Robb Wolf, used his experience as a biochemist to create his own product.
LMNT is your chance for a clean electrolyte boost after a long summer day or intense workout. They taste great making it the perfect cocktail mixer or hangover cure.
