Ron DeSantis is Running for President

Ron DeSantis is set to officially announce his candidacy for President tonight, and he’s going to do it alongside a major supporter: Elon Musk.

The announcement will take place tonight on Twitter Spaces, an audio platform within Twitter’s app, and it will consist of a wide-ranging conversation between DeSantis and Musk.

Musk is stopping short of a traditional endorsement, but he’s expressed support for DeSantis—especially his no-nonsense approach to traditional media bias.

Another IRS Whistleblower Emerges

A second IRS agent is blowing the whistle on the Hunter Biden tax fraud case.

The agent was a part of the investigative team that was dismissed after the first whistleblower came forward, and he’ll testify—along with his former supervisor—behind closed doors to the House Ways and Means Committee on Friday.

The new whistleblower claims that he repeatedly raised internal alarms about the Biden investigation but was ignored by leadership.

This isn’t the only trouble Hunter Biden is facing this week: the mother of his child asked a judge to arrest Hunter for ignoring court orders in his child support case.

Tom Brady Becomes NFL Owner

Tom Brady isn’t ready to move on from football.

He’s purchased a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, and that makes him just the third NFL player ever to own part of a franchise.

Majority owner Mark Davis says he’s “excited for Tom to join the Raiders.”

Brady is also starting up a broadcast booth career: he signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to join Fox’s NFL crew.

➤ A 19 year-old man crashed a U-Haul truck into a White House security barrier, jumped out, and started waving a Nazi flag. He was quickly arrested and charged with threatening the president, among a host of other serious offenses. (More)

➤ A Democrat in the Georgia state legislature is torching her own party for prioritizing teachers’ unions and illegal immigrants over poor children: "It's ironic. ➤ Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle, is pledging millions to Tim Scott’s presidential campaign. Ellison is worth $115 billion and is counted by Scott as “one of his mentors.” (More)

➤ The Biden campaign spent three times as much on digital ads in May than Donald Trump has spent in all of 2023—including over $1 million in the first week. (More)

➤ Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was the highest bidder in an auction held during a House GOP weekly meeting. The item she won for $100,00? A tube of chapstick previously owned by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (and a dinner with fundraisers, according to Greene’s team). The money from the auction will be contributed to House GOP election efforts. (More)
