IRS Unveils 2025 Tax Bracket and Deduction Increases
The IRS has announced inflation-related adjustments to tax provisions for 2025, giving taxpayers higher standard deductions and updated income tax brackets.
Single filers will see a standard deduction of $15,000, up $400 from 2024, while married couples filing jointly will get a $30,000 deduction, an $800 increase.
Income thresholds for all tax brackets have also been adjusted, but the top rate of 37% remains unchanged for high earners.
These changes, aimed at easing the burden of inflation, won’t take effect until the 2025 tax year, so they’ll impact tax returns filed in 2026.

Trump to Appear on Joe Rogan Podcast
Former President Donald Trump is set to record an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan in Austin, Texas, this Friday.
Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is also reportedly in talks with Rogan’s team for a possible interview before the Nov. 5 election.
Rogan, who has more than 14 million followers on Spotify and has hosted high-profile guests like Bernie Sanders and Elon Musk, has been critical of Trump in the past, calling him an “existential threat to democracy” in July 2022.
However, Rogan has more recently complimented Trump, saying last month that the economy under Trump “did really well, and he really did try to cut some of the bulls–t down that’s going on in this country.”

List: America’s Safest Cities
A new report on America’s safest cities ranked towns in Vermont, Wyoming, Idaho, and Rhode Island among the top five least dangerous locations in the country.
The study compared over 180 cities across 41 key safety indicators, including traffic fatalities, assaults per capita, unemployment rates, and the percentage of the uninsured population.
South Burlington, Vermont, was named the safest city, thanks to its low rates of pedestrian incidents, uninsured motorists, and its ranking for having the ninth-highest number of EMTs and paramedics per capita.
Other cities in the top five include Casper, Wyoming; Warwick, Rhode Island; Burlington, Vermont; and Boise, Idaho. You can see the full list here.
