The directive also calls for agencies to set up governance boards to establish rules for the government’s use of AI and to implement what the White House calls “concrete safeguards” to ensure safety.

Bankman-Fried Gets 25 Years in Prison
Former cryptocurrency entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison Thursday for embezzling billions of dollars from customers.
Bankman-Fried, founder of digital currency exchange FTX, was convicted in November of seven counts of fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit fraud and faced up to 110 years in prison.
Prosecutors asked for a sentence between 40 and 50 years, while Bankman-Fried lawyers asked for only 6-1/2 years. The judge settled on 25 years, saying it was a “significant period of time.”
Some former FTX customers used social media to voice their frustrations with the decision. Comments ranged from “laughable” and “it’s a joke” to “white-collar guys get treated differently.”
Ranking America’s Favorite Easter Candy
Americans are expected to spend more than $3 billion on Easter candy this year, with Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs or Cups being the most popular candy by sales.
A state-by-state comparison conducted by food company Instacart found 43 states preferred Reese’s, and six other states preferred Hershey’s Milk Chocolate. Jelly beans were fifth among the top 10 candies and Peeps eighth.
Around the globe, Easter traditions have a unique flair. Residents of New Zealand eat hot cross buns; in Norway, they read crime novels; Bermudians fly kites; and in Australia, where rabbits are considered nuisances, people enjoy a nice chocolate bilby, a rabbit-like mammal.
