Good Morning! On this day in 2012, NASA’s Curiosity rover successfully landed on the Martian surface, exploring the Gale Crater and seeking evidence of past microbial life.
Today’s edition of The Flyover has several items featuring sons and daughters. Our favorite is the one about a father who gave his son a $1 million lottery ticket, moving him out of the basement.
We hope you enjoyed reading today’s Flyover. Let us know how we’re doing by replying to this email.

Hunter Biden Pleads Guilty
In a surprise move, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty Thursday to all nine charges in the federal tax case against him, with sentencing set for December 16.
Biden initially offered an Alford plea, in which a defendant pleads guilty because the evidence against them is strong but maintains that they’re innocent.
When prosecutors refused to accept that plea, Biden made an open plea, admitting guilt and leaving the sentencing decision to the judge without a recommendation from prosecutors.
According to a 56-page indictment, Biden stood accused of withholding at least $1.4 million in taxes over four years and filing false returns.

FBI Raids NYC Mayor’s Aides
Federal agents searched the homes of two top aides to New York City Mayor Eric Adams and subpoenaed the cellphones of at least seven NYPD officials, including Commissioner Edward Caban.
The FBI raided the residences of First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright and Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Phil Banks in a probe believed to focus on whether Adams’ campaign conspired with the Turkish government to receive illegal foreign contributions.
Adams says he’s unaware of any wrongdoing and pledged full cooperation. A city hall lawyer said the mayor and his staff haven’t been indicated as targets of the investigation.

Fall is just around the corner and pumpkin spice is in full swing, but with summer temperature’s still looming its important to stay hydrated.
It’s easy to forget that our sweat isn’t just water. But why do we only go down a glass of water after a long run or a hot day? Our sweat consists of water and salt, so next time you reach for that glass of water… remember to replenish those electrolytes.
After years of mixing his own electrolyte blends and frustration with healthy options on the market, LMNT Co-Founder Robb Wolf used his experience as a biochemist to create his own product.
LMNT is your chance for a clean electrolyte boost after a long summer day or intense workout. It tastes great, making it the perfect cocktail mixer or hangover cure.
