Article Icon 114-Year-Old Arrested in Georgia Shooting

Georgia authorities have arrested 14-year-old Colt Gray for the mass shooting that killed four people and injured about 30 others at Apalachee High School on Wednesday morning.

During a Wednesday evening press conference, officials confirmed two of the victims were students, and two were teachers at the school. At least nine individuals were taken to hospitals with injuries.

Gray, an Apalachee student, is expected to be charged with murder and prosecuted as an adult, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Barrow County Schools superintendent announced that county schools will be closed through the end of the week.

The Biden administration announced sanctions against Russia for attempting to interfere with the upcoming November elections, including restricting visas for employees of media outlets linked to the Kremlin.

Two employees of a Russian-backed media network were charged with hiring a Tennessee company to disseminate pro-Russian content through social media influencers in a $10 million scheme.

The Justice Department also seized 32 web domains accused of mimicking U.S. news outlets to influence public opinion toward Russian interests and a “preferred outcome” in the presidential race.

The 2024 NFL season kicks off tonight when the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens.

The NFL’s Week 1 continues with the Green Bay Packers facing the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday night.

That’s followed by 13 games on Sunday, and a Monday night matchup between the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers. You can see depth charts, schedules, and rosters for every team here.

The American Gaming Association has projected that the U.S. will wager a record $35 billion on the NFL this season, a 30% increase from last year, as sports betting expands to new states.
