Good morning! Today in 1980, the Moscow Summer Olympics held its opening ceremony, boycotted by 66 nations in protest over the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. When it comes to Russia, some things never change.
In today’s edition, we’re talking about prosecutors targeting Donald Trump in their investigation into the events of Jan. 6, 2021, the end of the trademark battle over “Taco Tuesday,” and the sale of an antique, never-used iPhone for $190,000.

Trump Targeted by Jan. 6 Grand Jury
Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he received a letter from the Special Counsel’s office naming him a “target” of the ongoing Grand Jury investigation into the events of Jan. 6, 2021.
A target letter often means an indictment will soon follow. Trump said the letter gave him four days to report to the grand jury. If it happens, this would be his third indictment this year.
An indictment in this case would be the most serious Trump has faced because it involves potential charges of “insurrection” at the Capitol. A conviction could mean Trump would be ineligible to hold office again. | FAA Approves Air Taxi Plan for 2028
Federal regulators released a five-year plan Tuesday that would allow air-taxi services to be flying passengers around U.S. cities by 2028.
The Federal Aviation Administration proposal would essentially use existing flight rules for helicopters and low-flying aircraft to set up “taxi corridors” in the skies for new VTOL (Vertical Takeoff and Landing) passenger crafts.
The plan addresses various crucial issues, including certifying pilots and aircraft, managing airspace access, developing infrastructure, and maintaining security. | Powerball Hits $1 Billion for Tonight’s Drawing
The Powerball jackpot reached $1 billion for tonight’s drawing after no winning tickets were drawn on Monday — though eight people won $1 million or more by having five of the correct numbers.
This is only the third time the Powerball lottery has hit $1 billion. The winner would receive $516 million before taxes if taken as a one-time lump sum.
The largest Powerball payout in history was a $2 billion payout last November, but no one has won since April. The odds of buying the winning ticket is 1 in 292 million.
