In today’s edition, we’re talking about the hit song “Try That in A Small Town,” along with a hamburger chain that requires a doctor’s note if employees want to wear masks, and the 18th annual Granny Basketball National Tournament.

U.S. Suspends Funding to Wuhan Covid Lab
The Biden administration suspended all federal funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China over the Institute’s refusal to provide answers about safety and security at the facility.
Many believe the coronavirus originated from a leak at the lab. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) began a review of the Wuhan Institute last September, and found it not in compliance with federal regulations.
HHS officials also told the lab that given its persistent lack of transparency, the U.S. is seeking to go beyond a suspension and cut off funding permanently. | Hunter Biden Investigators Testify to Congress
A pair of IRS whistleblowers with 12 years of investigative experience confirmed to Congress Wednesday that Hunter Biden and his companies pulled in $17 million from foreign sources over several years.
The two IRS agents testified that they felt the Justice Department blocked their investigation into the source of the money. They were critical of Attorney General Merrick Garland for refusing so far to appear before Congress to discuss the case.
Democrats portrayed the issue as a routine disagreement between Justice Dept. leaders and employees, but Republicans said it indicated an official cover-up of financial misdeeds. | ‘Small Town’ Song Infuriates City Folks
Conservative country singer Jason Aldean’s controversial music video “Try That in A Small Town” has been yanked from Country Music TV even as it hit No. 1 on the iTunes Billboard chart.
The video shows news footage of recent riots while Aldean sings that this kind of thing may happen in the cities, but people in small towns wouldn’t allow it. It is explicitly pro-gun, pro-police, and pro-small town. (See Video Here)
Many people have called the song racist, making it the latest battleground in the culture wars. On Twitter, Aldean explained that he was praising small-town communities and didn’t apologize.
