Happy Memorial Day! On this date in 1941, British warships found and sank the mighty Bismarck, the pride of Adolf Hitler’s navy. Johnny Horton’s “Sink the Bismarck” became a hit song in 1960. (See Video)

Storms Kill At Least 15
Severe storms and tornadoes tore through Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma Sunday, killing at least 15 people, injuring scores more, and cutting power to hundreds of thousands across the region.
A devastating twister struck a rural area near a trailer park in Cooke County, Texas, killing at least seven, including two children. The storm also destroyed a truck stop where people sought shelter in a restroom. Photos and video are here.
At least five others were killed in Arkansas and two in Oklahoma. Farther east, the severe weather caused a race delay and the evacuation of 125,000 attendees at the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.
CNN Primetime Ratings Sink to 33-Year Low
CNN recorded its lowest primetime ratings since 1991 among the most valuable viewers aged 25-54. Only 83,000 watched in primetime in the week ending May 19.
That contrasts with 186,000 for Fox News and 111,000 for second-place MSNBC. CNN also suffered in total viewership for the week, attracting 494,000 viewers compared to 2 million for Fox.
Analysts say CNN’s new boss, former BBC chief Mark Thompson, is searching for a strategy. Last week, he unveiled a plan to focus on CNN “verticals” such as culture and lifestyle with less focus on political news.
While CNN’s ratings are tanking, the Flyover continues to grow. We’re happy to report that The Flyover has surpassed 635,000 readers—click here to share with your friends and family.
