NATO and Ukraine to Hold Emergency Talks
NATO and Ukrainian officials will hold emergency talks Tuesday after Russia escalated hostilities with an alleged hypersonic missile strike on a military facility in Dnipro last Thursday.
Ukrainian officials stated the missile that struck Dnipro reached Mach 11 and carried six non-nuclear warheads, each releasing six submunitions on impact.
President Vladimir Putin confirmed Russia used its newly developed hypersonic “Oreshnik” ballistic missile in retaliation for Kyiv’s use of U.S. and British long-range missiles, claiming it is impossible to intercept.
U.S. officials say that the Russian missile did not reach NASA’s definition of hypersonic speed—Mach 5.

List: America’s 20 Deadliest Animals
A list of the nation’s 20 most dangerous creatures has ranked deer as America’s deadliest animal, responsible for far more injuries and fatalities than any predator.
An analysis of official stats on animal interactions, attacks, and fatalities found deer cause 59,000 injuries and 440 deaths annually, with most fatalities from vehicle collisions, though rare direct attacks can occur during mating season.
Dogs, often called man’s best friend, ranked second on the list, causing over 4.5 million bites annually, with at least 100 proving fatal.
Rattlesnakes, livestock, and hornets round out the top five, with grizzly bears, alligators, and great white sharks ranking seventh, eighth, and sixteenth, respectively. You can see the full list here.
