Tornadoes Strike Midwest
Tornadoes ripped through the Midwest this weekend, killing four people and injuring more in Oklahoma. Twisters also touched down in Nebraska and Iowa, leaving a path of injuries, destroyed buildings, and a death in Iowa.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt spoke at a press conference in the hard-hit town of Sulphur, describing the scene as “…definitely the most damage since I’ve been governor that I’ve seen.” See video here.
In Elkhorn, NE, the National Weather Service issued forty-two tornado warnings and gave residents a 34-minute lead time before the tornado smashed homes west of Omaha.
CNN Poll: Trump Presidency a Success
New polling data from CNN shows a six percent national advantage for former President Trump in the presidential race.
The most notable polling result, however, may be that 55% of respondents say that Trump’s presidency was a success. It’s a significant flip from the results of the same question after January 6th, 2021, when 55% said that the administration was a failure.
In the recent poll, 61% said that President Biden’s first term has been a failure.
NFL Commish Teases Changes
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell gave an interview over the weekend and forecasted some scheduling changes for America’s most popular sport.
Fans have been pushing for years for a post-Superbowl national holiday, and they may inadvertently get it if Goodell’s plan comes to fruition: expand the NFL regular season to 18 games and move the SB to the day before President’s Day.
Goodell also mentioned a larger push for international games going forward, and he said that an overseas NFL franchise is possible—but it won’t happen in the next ten years.

JJ would never admit it’s his fault, but it seems like everytime the Fed chairman opens his mouth, Gold hits $2000… Then $2100… Then $2300… and now it’s possibly going to blow the roof off again. However…
To explain the surge in demand, analysts rip on the obvious “reasons why” — ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, the Israel/Hamas War, a potentially weaker U.S. dollar, possible interest rate cuts…
But is this just the beginning? Or how much higher could the price of gold rally? And what are a small fraction of hyper-intelligent investors doing to take advantage of this unusual opportunity?
They’re leveraging a bizarre loophole in the IRS rulebook to multiply their gains. Interested?
